Good and thorough pore cleansing treatment is something that needs to be done at least once a week and it’s best to do it 2-3 times a week so you get the maximum results. But most of us don’t always have time to go to the beauty salon. We sometimes skip treatments, the dirt keeps piling up in our pores and our faces become full of those little blackheads. Well, to get a professional pore cleansing treatment you don’t always have to go to the beauty salon. You just need a few simple tools and you can do everything by yourself in the comfort of your own home. Depending on you skin and your skills you can remove the blackheads using strips, extractors or your fingers.
Strips-Blackhead removal strips are a very practical choice if you are not very skilful or you don’t have too much time. You wet the strip and place it to the area from which you want to remove blackheads, wait for 10-15 minutes and then pull the strip off. The strips have glue that extracts impurities from the pores. Be careful not to pull the strip too harshly because it may leave a bruise.
Extractors-You can choose between the spoon or loop shaped extractors. They are made from metal and although there are for professional use you can get them in every cosmetic shop. If you use this tool for blackhead extraction you must be very careful because they can damage the skin and cause bleeding and even scars. You use the extractor by applying it on the blackhead and gently pressing until the blackhead goes out of the pore.
Fingers- Believe it or not your fingers are a really good tool for removing blackheads. Use your fingers and tissues and gently press the skin around the blackhead to force it out of the pore. When you’re cleaning the pores this way be ware not to damage your skin by pressing too hard and do not use your nails by any means.
Before the treatment you need to open the pores. If you don’t have the expensive gadgets like a steamer, for example, some how towels will do just fine. Put the hot towel on your face and leave it like that for a few minutes, or hold your face over a dish of hot water. This procedure will open your pores and you will get the blackheads out easier. When you are finished with the treatment apply some moisturizer to soothe your face because it will be a little bit red and irritated.

There comes a time in every person’s life to start using skin products. The air is getting more and more polluted and all that dirt stays in our pores. Even if you’re not the first one in line in front of the pharmacy as soon as a new face crème is introduced – you’ll have to agree that keeping you face and pores clean is not the matter of fashion but a matter of personal hygiene. So if you are wondering when is the best time to start using pore cleanser, the answer is simple – RIGHT NOW!
So, why should you use a pore cleanser? Well, let me make it simple. Pore cleanser will make all those dark spots disappear. You see, the dark spots are actually a mixture of oil, dead cells and dirt that gets collected in the pores. Not removing those dark spots doesn’t only make your face look bad; it prevents the skin to breathe, because pores exist so the skin can get enough oxygen and moisture to regenerate adequately. So you see, using a pore cleanser will make your skin not only look better, but it will actually be better, healthier and youthful.
What is a pore cleanser? A pore cleanser is available in form of a exfoliate lotion, peel off mask and battery operated suction gadget. The purpose of a pore cleanser is cleaning your pores and making your skin healthy and spot-free. Exfoliates contain abrasive micro granules that go into the pores and clean them thoroughly. The application is simple-you just rub it in and then rinse it off. Peel off mask is a mixture of natural materials and chemicals. It comes in a form of a paste. The paste is applied on the face and neck area, left to dry and then peeled off. Battery operated pore cleansers work by applying suction to the skin. Think of it as a little vacuum cleaner that will suck in all the dirt and leave your pores completely clean. Very simple, right?
It’s recommended to use your pore cleanser approximately 2-3 times a week but it’s good to check the instructions because it may differ from one brand to another. When choosing your pore cleanser make sure it matches your skin type, follow the instructions carefully and be persistent.

Beautiful skin is something that you have to work on. The truth is that most of us don’t have the flawless, spot-free face, but it’s also truth that we can all have it if we just put in a little effort. Keeping your pores clean will not only make that happen but it will also reduce the risk of having acne. You see, it is believed that acne appear when clogged pores get infected. During puberty oil glands in the skin start producing more oil which expands the pores, making them more suitable for bacteria infections. That, off course causes acne. For the people that have oily skin, or at least oily areas- the well known T zone (forehead and nose area), the risks of having large pores are higher, so using a pore cleanser is a must.
Today, you can choose from a variety of brands and products. You can get all kinds of pore cleansers like lotions, peel off masks, even pore cleansers that work with batteries. But if you don’t know what to pick, or if you have extremely sensitive skin you can also make your own completely natural pore cleanser. After all, there is nothing safer than a homemade pore cleanser. This way you don’t have to spend a fortune to have beautiful skin. People have been using natural ingredients for decades, so why can’t you? It’s simple and fun, and all you need are the things you can find in your own kitchen.
For dry skin- If you have this type of skin think about including milk and honey in your daily routine. Honey moisturizes the skin and makes it smooth. Apply it like a facial mask and let it sit on your face for 15-20 minutes. You will see the difference. Milk contains lipids, minerals and vitamins. You can use it on it’s own like a face or body wash, or mix it with honey or oatmeal.
For oily skin –If your skin is oily you can use tomatoes because they have many natural acids and exfoliates. You can squish it into a paste and use it on it’s own, or mix it with oatmeal for example. Lemon or lime is also a good choice. Apply it with the cotton pad, even every day, if you like. Lemon narrows the pores and regulates the pH value of the skin so it’s great for treating large pores and removing excess oil from.
